Study Appointments

Clinical trial protocols are designed to measure events at certain time points.  Following the schedule in the protocol is very important to ensure the scientific integrity of a study.

You will be advised of how many visits there are, how long they will take and when they occur during the informed consent process before you are enrolled.

Booking Study Visits

The research coordinator is responsible for discussing the dates of your study visits and booking them with you and at Can-Med.  The research coordinator will give you a card with the time and date of your next appointment, along with any special instructions to remember.

It is important to write down the date and time of all study visits and to make all attempts to attend them on time.

Cancellation of a Study Visit

If you need to cancel a visit, the research coordinator should be provided with as much notice as possible.  Attempts will be made to reschedule your visit as close as possible to the date required by the study protocol.
