CAN-MED SUPPORTS 2011 PROSTATE CANCER RIDE TO LIVEOn Sunday June 5th, 2011, Can-Med volunteers joined with volunteers from Dr. Pommerville’s urology practice to work at a Poker Run Stop at the 2nd annual Ride to Live fundraiser for Prostate Cancer Research! Can-Med’s team was stationed at the beautiful Pendray Farm in West Saanich. Can-Med is honored to join forces in the fight against prostate cancer with the organizers, volunteers and participating riders in this event. Can-Med conducts clinical trials in the field of prostate cancer and Dr. Pommerville is a national expert in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. Dr. Pommerville spoke to participants at the closing event regarding the importance of early detection and of ongoing research and efforts to beat prostate cancer.
